Boulder, Colorado has been dubbed as “the city nestled between the mountains and reality”. Tucked away into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, its hard not to find an area of Boulder that isn’t intriguing. The fantastic climate, wide-open spaces, scenic mountains and plethora of parks draw outdoor enthusiasts from miles around. Boulder offers some of the best rock climbing in the world, along with world class skiing.
With all of these adventurous activities at your finger tips, its surprising to some that Boulder’s atmosphere is very laid back and artsy. A lively cultural scene includes prominent museums, unique shops and boutiques, and an array of restaurants that would tempt anyone’s palette.

The Boulder International Film Festival will take place in Boulder Feb. 11-14, 2010. The Festival will kick off with an Opening Night Red-Carpet Gala and screening of New Film International’s “The Lightkeepers,” starring Blythe Danner. Following the screening, Danner will participate in a question and answer session. BIFF’s Closing Night Awards Ceremony on Feb. 14 will feature a tribute to Alec Baldwin, including a question and answer session with the award-winning actor.

It would be hard to find a more beautiful backdrop for art than the vibrant Pearl Street Mall. Located at the base of the Flatirons, this much beloved pedestrian mall has been the site of ArtFair for over 30 years. Each July, over150 artisans from around the country display works in a variety of mediums from watercolor, acrylics, photography and jewelry to large sculptures and works of fiber. |
