Resort Maps - Over 30 Years in the Making

Headquartered in the Green Mountains of Vermont, Resort Maps has been creating and publishing beautifully illustrated destination maps in the northeastern U.S. since 1986. Over time, as our maps became more and more widely recognized, demand for them increased. By 1992 we were distributing millions of maps in 15 towns throughout the Northeast.

These maps have become clearly recognized by business owners as an important way to help their customers find them, and also as a highly effective tool for increasing all-important word-of-mouth advertising. In just a few years our maps became immensely popular with the tens of thousands of tourists, travelers and visitors who rely on the maps when visiting a town, resort area or popular destination.

Our phones were ringing regularly with people asking us to come and create a Resort Map for their town. At that time, in an effort to continue our growth and simultaneously keep the quality of our product the best in our market, we decided the franchise model would be best for Resort Maps. Thus, in 1993 the Resort Maps Franchise was created.

The Resort Maps network has grown steadily since adopting the franchise model in 1993 and there are now over 100 Resort Maps in publication in the US, the UK, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica and many more are in the process of being published. Nearly 25 million Resort Maps will be printed and distributed this year.
