Breckenridge Skating School will offer classes on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:00pm on the indoor rink. The classes that will be taught is Adult Basic 1 (ISI Equivalent: Alpha/Beta) for ages 16 and up who have never skated or are learning to stand up and skate forwards across the ice rink. Forward stroking, forward crossovers, one foot glides and snowplow stops are introduced and mastered. Backward skating skills, three turns, Mohawks, t-stops and hockey stops are introduced. The classes will all be held on the indoor rink, which is approximately 48 degrees, so please dress in warm, comfortable clothing. Mittens or gloves and snowpants are highly recommended for never-ever skaters as they may spend some time on the ice while learning to skate.
