They create a depth and intricacy of sound that become more commanding every time it's heard, and by blending live instrumentation into their production they create a live experience that is as beautiful as it is intense. Born in the unlikely mountain enclave of Missoula, MT, Signal Path has released six full-length albums to date. After a two-year hiatus they released their second FREE album during the summer of 2009. The viral success of 2009's CLASH amongst fans was almost beyond belief, and the overwhelming support elevated the band to a level of national prominence they'd never experienced. With packed out concert halls nationwide and an album streamed and downloaded a hundred thousand times, Signal Path suddenly found themselves back at the forefront of a scene they had once helped pioneer. After the success of CLASH and two of the most successful national tours in their history, Signal Path permanently relocated to Colorado to complete their next full-length studio album IMAGINARY LINES. IMAGINARY LINES droped SEPTEMBER 1st 2010 and is available as a free download (like all their music) through their website www.signalpathmusic.com. Easily Signal Path's most polished and introspective work to date- the band is at an all time creative high. With fascinating production, lush soundscapes and an undeniable rhythmic balance, Signal Path gives fans a full album of brand new music in its purest form. The gorgeous melodies that have defined the project since it's beginning permeate the music with crushing low end lurking behind every turn. Colorado's Octopus Nebula has recently opened up on the scene, impressing audiences far and wide with their new style of music that blends elements of electronic, ambient, downtemps, breakbeat, rock, acid jazz, and ethereal grooves. Originally formed in 2004, the current incarnation coalesced in 2008 and consists of Fleeb Thomas on bass, Robin Bloch on guitar, John Safarik on keys, and Dan Raasch on drums. These musicians have come together not only to inspire the dance floor (which they do on a regular basis), but also to spread positive vibrations through music. The rise of Octopus Nebula has been swift and complete, as was evidenced at the first show they ever played together, a sold-out gig at Colorado's famous Mishawaka Amphitheater with musical icons from across the pond, Shpongle and Ott. In addition to these two major names, Octopus Nebula has shared the stage with such heavy-hitters as the Disco Biscuits, Random Rab, Bluetech, Lotus, David Murphy (of STS9), Ana Sia, Eskmo, Boombox, Signal Path, EOTO, and RJD2. Currently laying out the textured psychedelic grooves for their first album, Octopus Nebula shuns the formulaic in favor of a purely original sound, a gamble that has paid off in the long run for this talented quartet. The music refuses to be classified and, as a result, gives the sense that the members of Octopus Nebula are truly breaking new ground. Doors at 8,tickets on sale 9/24/11
