772-7 ANTIOQUIA [an-tee-OH-kee-ah] -"Psychedelic Rock infused w/ West African & AfroColombian Rhythms" *NO COVER* Show Date: 2011-10-18 Antioquia's music inspires raucous dancing and deep listening. With influences ranging from Megadeth to Muddy Waters and infused with the traditional rhythms of Colombia and West Africa, Antioquia's primary mission is to unite humanity through the healing act of dance. Peppered with fits of improvisation, bouts of silliness and fiery percussion pieces performed amidst the crowd, an Antioquia set is high-energy, captivating, and anything but predictable. You can download their latest live EP which features songs from their recent national Honeymoon Tour (on which their two new members, Rachel and Tomas, got married!) on the band's BandCamp website http://antioquia.bandcamp.com and check out the band's videos at www.youtube.com/antioquiamusic "I had a hard time taking my eyes away from them… Singer, Rachel Antony-Levine, owned the stage." - Brian Passey, The Spectrum, July 2011 "Politics and social inquiry are rarely so mouth-watering,"- Dennis Cook of Jambase.com, March 2010 "Antioquia's music is like a wild and fantastic expedition." - Rima Riff, Tempo, February 2010 - ANTIOQUIA [an-tee-OH-kee-ah] www.antioquia-band.com www.facebook.com/antioquiaband SPREAD THE ANTIOQUIA! - SUMMER COMPILATION **Brand new live release featuring new members, Tomas Salcedo & Rachel Antony-Levine** ->Download for free: antioquia.bandcamp.com Doors at Nine,No Cover 100% freeThe Players RACHEL ANTONY-LEVINE - Vocals, keys, percussion Rachel Antony-Levine has been writing songs since she was thirteen and performing since she was too little to remember.
