Whether your naughty or nice you will want to be a part of the Santa Dash for Cash. The first Santa Dash for Cash is part of the annual celebration of Frisco, Colorado's Wassail Days. This fun run is the best way to start the Holiday season in the most picturesque small town in the mountains. The run is one mile. Yes, one mile down Main Street but well worth the effort, with stocking prizes for every runner. Strollers, pets and walkers are welcome to join. Kids 12 and under can dash for free. RUNNERS MUST DRESS UP AS SANTA CLAUS!!! Frisco will help you get there with a Santa shirt, and hat as part of your paid registration. For additional Santa items we encourage you to add them from the Family Intercultural Resource Centers Mobile Thrift Store available at the dash. What the course lacks in distance, it more than makes up for in goodies. For your paid registration you will receive a Santa shirt and hat, a ½ hour tubing session, and milk and cookies. Every good boy and girl who crosses the finish line will receive a stocking with Wassail Cash and/or Cold Hard Cash. Yes, this Santa dash finally gives you the present you have always wanted: GREEN. The Santa Dash for Cash is a benefit for the Summit County Cares fund drive. Donations help Summit County families facing eviction, a night without heat and electricity or in need of medical care or prescriptions. Last year's holiday campaign raised $50,000 and helped over 1,000 locals facing hard times. Please give the gift that keeps giving and donate to the Summit County Cares fund at www.summitfoundation.org. Money raised helps clients of the Family & Intercultural Resource Center, Summit Community Care Clinic, Advocates for Victims of Assault and Social Services. The Santa Dash for Cash is just one of the many Wassail Day events in Frisco, including a tree lighting, chili cook off, wassail voting and Breakfast with Santa for more details click here
