Welcome to Charlotte Coastal Region, Canada!

The diversity along the shores of Charlotte County is as dramatic as the giant 28 foot tides of the Bay of Fundy.
The region is a tapestry of the Aboriginal, French, English, Loyalist and Irish peoples that settled here. Each has maintained a strong presence as evident in the local culture, place names, traditions and architecture. The town of St. Andrews has been recognized as a National Historic District – one of only a few in Canada.
The diversified economy of the region has strong links to tourism. History and the environment go hand in hand with local specialties such as chocolates, blueberries and maple syrup.
The sea however continues to play a prominent role in the lives of people in Charlotte County. For many years, fisheries have sustained our small picturesque communities and islands. Famous for lobster, scallop, herring/sardines, dulse and ground fish, more recently integrated multitrophic aquaculture salmon farming and caviar are now local products shipped all over the world.
