Womens Mechanics Class

864-7 Our Womens Mechanics Class is a 2-part class. It takes place from 7p.m. to 9p.m. on two consecutive Wednesday evenings. The course is designed to give an understanding of a few basic concepts of bicycle repair in a fun, welcoming environment and to introduce you to a place where you will be able to continue to learn more about bikes, community bike shops, and about how you can become a self-sufficient cyclist. The course covers the following concepts: *Cleaning/Degreasing/Lubricating your bicycle and chain/drivetrain *Chain Care *Brake Adjustment/Repair *Chain Repair *Shifting and Derailleur adjustment *Hub Overhauls Students are encouraged but not required to purchase the Park Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair, available for sale at The Bike Depot at a 10% when you show your ticket for the class. The class can get a bit messy at times, so gloves and aprons are provided!!
