Authentic Relating Games Night

The intention of these events is to create a safe space where you can take risks, move a little outside the box, and actually CONNECT with others beyond the typical "What do you do?" and "Where are you from?" conversations. You'll have opportunities to see others in a new way, whether you're meeting them for the first time, or they are your closest friends. This might be for you if: - You want deeper, richer, more fulfilling connections with other people. - You're tired of the conversations you typically have when you meet new people. - You want to feel closer to someone you already know and see what's possible in your relating with that person. - You're simply curious after reading our description, and are willing to try something new! This event is open to everyone -- single or in relationship -- whether you are a veteran of this kind of work or have no idea what I mean by authentic relating and are intrigued enough to find out. Let's connect and play! The doors open at 6:30, doors close and games begin at 7:00. The cost is $15, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. AUTHENTIC There is no cookie-cutter mold for how you should be. Everyone is a complete universe unto themselves, and is perfect and amazing as they are, even if that includes a believe that they aren't perfect. RELATING Connecting in a way where you may profoundly see and being seen. There is nothing to 'get' and nowhere to 'get to'. Judgments, assessments, and distractions fade away. GAMES Fun, social exercises that demonstrate and explore authentic relating, getting to know yourself better while at the same time learning to see and appreciate more. All this is within a light-hearted container which is safe for getting real, taking emotional risks, and personal growth. Expect moments of laughter, relief, anxiety/excitement, reverence, love and connection, new friends, and new possibilities for how you engage the world.
