Description
The Ziemke Glassblowing Studio, located on scenic Route 100 between Stowe and Waterbury, Vermont, is the working glass studio of glass artist Glenn Ziemke. The studio features a large gallery showcasing the complete line of Glenn's classically inspired art glass. From the observation room, visitors can watch glassblowing in action each unique piece is created one at a time. Glenn Ziemke began blowing glass as a student at Penn State University in 1976. Upon graduating in 1978 he served a one year apprenticeship then built his first studio at Accord, NY in 1979. He began marketing his work through craft galleries and art fairs throughout the Eastern U.S. In 1981 Glenn moved to Maine.In 1995, Glenn built the Ziemke Glassblowing Studio in Waterbury Center, Vermont. Now, he sells his work exclusively through this gallery open 363 days per year.
